Cat Caring

In the cat caring section of the site, we break down the caring into 3 categories:long, medium, and short haired cats, like the guinea pigs.

We also have a general caring directions, so feel

free to look at those. It should be located under this body of text you are reading right now.

Remember, the more you know how to take care of your cat, the more your cat will bring joy to your life!

  1. Always have water available for your cat
  2. Feed your cat 1-2 times a day. Feed them normal cat food, dry or wet, OR make your own cat food from fish, chicken, etc. Giving bits of tuna is a better treat than food, because you don’t want your cat to be spoiled!
  3. Play with your cat at LEAST 1 hour a day, every day. Your cat will appreciate that!

4 a. Short haired- groom your cat 3-4 times a week with a brush that your cat accepts. Never use a brush that makes your cat uncomfortable.

4 b. Medium haired- groom your cat 4-5 times a week. When your cat starts to purr in your lap, that’s a good sign.

4 c. Long haired- groom your cat 7 days a week. Yes, every day! Once and a while, if you don’t brush them, they won’t die or anything, but if you constantly don’t brush them, they may get burrs and knots in their long fur.

5. Clean your cats litter box every day. Also, empty it once or twice a week. Well, it all depends on how much filth is in it.

6. Bring your cat to the vet every year and always be up to date on his/her vaccinations.

7. Why not get your cat some catnip every once and a while?
